7 July French Dinner
Those sunny French mountain roads are still calling but back in Point Lonsdale our French wine dinner will warm you to the core. Featuring :
Radis croque au sel
radish, cultured butter, salt flakes
Marinated leeks,egg mimosa
maquereau pomme a l’huile
Cured mackerel, potato, olive oil
Rocking, Mussel, scallop, fish broth
Bœuf bourguignon, petit oignon, lardon & champignon de Paris
Braised beef short rib, pearl onion, lardon, button mushroom & red wine jus.
Choux de Brussel, miel, thym citron
Brussel sprouts, honey, lemon thyme
Carotte, stracciatella, noisette
Carrots, stracciatella, hazelnut
Salade de mesclun vinaigrette
Mix leave salad, vinaigrette
This truly delicious meal will be prepared by our guest chefs Louis Naepel from Lamaros Bodega in South Melbourne and Edouard Deplus, head chef at the French Brasserie, CBD Melbourne .The dinner will be accompanied by wines chosen by Jordan from the well-known regions of France with some lesser known gems included. $95 pp inclusive.
Noble Rot Wine Club Monday 11 July Don’t miss out as numbers are limited. The 2 Wine Clubs held to date have been a great success. The first featured blends and the opportunity to compare Australian and imported wines; the second focussing on Beechworth …the evenings are characterised by lots of conversation and the chance to taste some particularly special drops. Portuguese wine dinner Thursday 4 August 6.30 pm. A rustic and full flavoured Portuguese dinner ( well maybe not the salted cod!!) matched with regional wines $75 pp.
