We have been featuring some great specials from Thursday to Saturday to tantalise your spring taste buds. Our ever changing backboard specials menu has been featuring some innovative fusion tastes and some incredibly appetising gourmet pizzas.

Ring through your pizza order( $3 off for take away) and when collecting it, pick up a bottle to make the night ..perfect!!

We have also added Santamania London Dry Gin to our drinks list. Made using Tempranillo grapes
(Spain’s “noble grape”) we are serving it with a lime and, ..if you are feeling adventurous and maybe a little decadent,…. black pepper.


Our door is open, spring in coming and Sunday is a new day


We are back on deck after our winter break. We have two new and delicious pizza’s to try and will see winter out with some hearty fare. Don’t forget our pizza’s can be ordered and picked up for your enjoyment at home .. why not grab a great fireside red, or a Rose of your choice to go with it while in store.

We know Sunday’s are off a quiet relaxing day at home or a great time for that special family and friends catch up roast or bbq lunch in the backyard. SO as from Sunday 3 September we will opening from 4 pm so you can round the day off with us over a glass or two and some casual grazing if suits.

The July that was and an August Update


We have now completed our Winter Calendar of Events; 3 dinners and 3 lunches in all and we would sincerely like to thank all those who attended for their loyal patronage. It’s great to see such a buzz in Point Lonsdale in the quieter months.

We are thrilled to have been awarded one glass in our first foray into the annual Gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year Awards 2017. Announced 31 July 2017, here is what they said…

A clever list that offers drinkers a wide broadcast of global wine canons but anchors you into the local offerings from some of the more liberal, creative set of current winemaking. There’s currency in this avant garde selection, with quality producers like Sorrernberg, By Farr and Bannockburn sidling up next to JJ Prum, JJ Morel and Lamoresca. Plenty of anchors here for those seeking comfort and ease of selection, but the dedicated wine pros manning Noble Rot will ably guide drinkers into left of centre and expressive wines listed amongst the prestige and well-versed wine expressions. Great to see such dedication to wines of Victoria, a sense of pride emerges from these pages. Some judicious older wines also appear through the listings, and canny wine fans will note the value in such. Nicely done here.

It’s time for us to close the blinds and regroup before we return at the end of winter ready to spring into spring.

We will be closing our doors this Sunday 6 August at 7 pm, re-opening 4 pm on Wednesday 23 August.

On our return we are planning a Suzie on Sunday Spring lunch and an extra special dinner!!…

Moroccan Feast_ Sunday Lunch


Our Sunday Moroccan feast lunch will present an array of tantalising dishes which will transport you to this magical and mysterious country where goats nestle in Argan trees and no transaction is ever made without copious amounts of mint tea being on offer.
• Ras el hanout chicken with roast cauliflower and spiced yoghurt
• Ancient sorghum grain salad with avocado, nuts, diced apricots, herbs, coriander, preserved lemon & coconut dressing.
• Slow cooked pork meatballs with rich tomato and chickpea ragout
• Spiced roast vegetables with mint
• Lamb and prune tagine with cous cous

We will, of course, have some slightly more interesting Noble Rot drops, than tea, on hand to match this indulgent feast including a Moroccan wine

We have partnered with Basils Farm to develop a fantastic 5 course menu with the food matched to a range of wines from this Bellarine favourite.

Just picked seasonal garden produce from the Basils Farm kitchen garden will be feature on the menu as well as seafood from the bountiful Port Phillip Bay.

An added taste from Basils Farm museum wine collection and an indulgent dessert to finish make this a night to rug up and head out to the cosy, convivial warmth of Noble Rot.

Monday 24 July 6.30 pm – Basils Farm and a Bellarine Feast Wine Dinner

Details are still being finalised but, the menu will feature some great local, fresh seasonal produce and bay catches;  bread from hand ground grains with indulgent chocolate tastes to finish.

Wines produced by Basils Farm will make the short trip from their idyllic Swan Bay location to complement this great meal on the night.

No rattling of our pots or pans on Good Friday


We are closed on Good Friday but will be open from 11 am Easter Saturday and Sunday. Monday hours are, as usual, from 4 – 7 pm. We will be there of course on Thursday evening, so pop in for a wind down with friends over a glass or two from our ever surprising blackboard list.
Feeling like a holiday indulgence? why not pick up a bottle of PX as a special Easter treat to accompany all that chocolate.

This Saturday, 18 March is our third birthday. Join us to celebrate and share a bubbly toast to the future. We will be serving 3 oysters and a glass of champagne for $20 all day from 11 am onwards. We have, of course, arranged for perfect weather on the day, 26 degrees and sunny, absolutely perfect. See you there!

As Autumn begins 4-7.30 pm mid-week has never looked better in Point Lonsdale. Every Wednesday, from March 8 for $25 you can enjoy a pizza of your choice accompanied by a glass from the daily pouring blackboard
For $30 you can savour a glass of a special opening, chosen by Jordan from the shelves to accompany your pizza.
